Dry spell puts woodland saplings 'under stress'
Our beautiful River Petteril is facing a bit of a challenge! Recent dry weather is putting the 9,500 young trees planted along its banks under stress. Let's hope for some rain to help these new saplings thrive.
About 9,500 young trees have been planted along the banks of the River Petteril, at Carlisle.
